This is my second pair of these gloves and I love them! They are very comfortable and last a long time. Highly recommended. Durability --- My first pair should have stayed with me for at least 5 years with at least weekly use. I had to sew up a few holes here and there towards the end of her life, but that was to be expected. Overall, very durable gloves that are definitely worth the money. Chafing---They protect against chafing quite well, but if you ride a horse that constantly pulls like crazy, you might need something with a softer padding on the reins. Fingers Warm --- Gloves have always kept my hands warm (I have terrible circulation in my hands, that's saying something), but I also live in a very mild climate. I don't think they'll do the job if you're going anywhere in a real winter. Appearance --- The black gloves show dirt quite easily, so this is to be expected. The great thing about them is that you can toss them in the washing machine (although it's best to avoid the dryer) and they'll come out sparkling clean with the Velcro intact. As far as "brightness" goes, I bought a second pair to show the IDA and they nailed it. Fit/Size --- I ordered these a while ago so can't remember exactly what was originally wrong, but I do know I had to return and replace the first pair I received because they were too small was. I used their size chart. If you have longer fingers I would suggest going up a size. Ideally, I recommend trying them on in a store or renting them from someone. This can help you find out what size you really are.
