Review on πŸ”΄ Kuman CNC Shield Expansion Board V3.0 + Uno R3 Board + A4988 Stepper Motor Driver with Heatsink for Arduino Kits K75 (CNC Shield + Uno R3 + Stepper Motor) (K75-CNC-UK), Red Blue by Jeff Warne

Easy, even for Arduino newbies.

I just submitted it for testing, downloaded the grbl library and compiled it on the UNO board. I already built a GRBL for another CNC, changed the port to UNO and everything works! Works pretty decently, but the stepping frequency sounds a bit harsh, but it's an Arduino, I'm sure I can change the frequency somewhere. Update: A very important piece of information. Out of the box it will roughly work. The clunky low frequency operation of stepper motors I mentioned above. Here's how to fix it. There are three jumper pins under each of the stepper rod plug-ins. All three jumpers for all three modules. So you need to find 9 jumpers or just solder them like I did. Now runs smooth as silk. This allows for the use of microstepping for the included stepper poles. It was a great little CNC controller.
