If you're looking to install a dash cam and need an easy and permanent solution, then this is for you. I had no problems with this kit. The instructions were a little murky, but you have to understand what you're doing with it. The purpose of this device is to borrow power from another fuse in your vehicle to power your device. Its performance, if poor, might just be the fuse you're feeding off. I have chosen to run mine with a radio backup so that when my radio is off (after getting out of the car) the camera will turn off. Don't let the electronic terms bother you though; the installation is easy. The hardest part is opening up your car's floorboards to route the cables (assuming you have a backup camera and want a clean and professional look). Prior to the installation, I had wires hanging around my car's doors and handles for weeks. I was happy to buy it.
