Review on WFCO WF9875 Mount Converter Charger by Eric Hartman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A very good converter.

My 5th bike is ten years old, I have it at home. Finally he gave up. Since the converter board is no longer intended for my installation, I decided to try this device. My old converter was rated at 45 amps, this unit is rated at 75 amps. That means I had to buy another 20 amp switch, my old one was 15 amp. Lucky had more room in my switch box for a few more. The transducer dimensions listed do not reflect the mount, which is 1/2 inch taller and approximately 1 inch wider. My switch box below contains the converter board. I had to make some heavy cuts in the case to fit it, but it's plastic so cutting it wasn't a problem. Another note worth mentioning is that it comes with a 20 amp plug, my original converter was hard wired to the breakers. So I made a new lead with a plug on the end so I could plug it in in case I had to return it under warranty. The converter works really well, it has more power than my old one which started dropping the voltage when I turned on the lights in my 31ft trailer. This one keeps the light nice and bright, it also has a trickle charge for the battery, no need to unplug it from shore power for long periods of time, at least a year in my case.
