NO OEM part! doesn't fit right.

This is NOT an OEM item! The part first came in a box from a Chinese auto parts manufacturer. If it was an OEM it would have been packaged in a Johnson/Evinrude box. Second, nuts and threads are metric, not SAE. Finally, the case is slightly larger than the original. This will cause the case to crack when you tighten the fastening strap. At the same time, the part still works. Housing cracked during installation. After reading other bad reviews it seems this part is not safe. I am planning to order back from another supplier and replace them.
