Don't be an idiot like me and don't read the instructions to the end. First I did some things that didn't need to be done yet and needed to be undone. In general it's great. The strap on the boom is probably some type of material, like a seat belt. I hope it doesn't wear out from friction during use, but if it does we can use another one. We couldn't take it off, if ever. My husband, who is 185 pounds, sat in it and held it tight, but I don't think I attached it to a branch thick enough to use it all the time. 😂. Best money spent in a long time.
