Review on Samsung Official Cover Galaxy Ultra by Adam Domaski ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product, not disappointed.

Just a bomber. I switched to it from galaxy tab s6 lite - heaven and earth. Further, rather, a comment about android tablets in general. Before that, I used iPads, due to the limitations of the operating system in our latitudes, where it is not customary to pay for content, and more recently it is completely impossible, they are simply not usable. Samsung was able to make a piece of hardware that is not inferior, but in many ways surpasses the top-end iPad Pro, and Google has already done everything else. You can put any application on a tablet, even a banking client, and those that are supposedly "not supported" can still be pushed through ADB. In terms of functionality, only Windows is cooler, but it is not sharpened for touch control. It’s right there that you use a 15-inch phone with all the amenities, but on a big screen. Reading technical literature scans in PDF/DJVU or watching comics while lying on the couch is just a feast for the eyes, no computer can compare with it.

Pros
  • + Autonomy 10-12 hours at auto brightness when watching a video. I did not observe any anomalous zhors, although I installed all the firmware ates on the day of release. + The speakers will outshout any laptop except the MacBook Pro 16. The sound is juicy, bassy, watching movies is a pleasure. Dolby, it turns out, is not just a marketing ploy - if you turn it on, the sound becomes louder. + Weight and thickness with such dimensions are amazing, you can comfortably use the weight for hours and your hands do not get tired. + For a year, there is not a single noticeable scratch on the glass, but perhaps the fact is that the gadget is mostly at home, although it was also dragged to the beach a couple of times. + Durable body alloy, unlike iPads, you can’t roll it into a roll with all your desire, a video with a bend test on the jerryrigeverything channel confirms this. + The hardware is very powerful, I didn’t notice any stupid things even in the basic version with 8 gigabytes of RAM. I draw in Ibis Paint, it processes at least 50 layers in 4K without any problems. + The screen is simply incomparable, no matter what anyone says - the future lies with the amold. It is very comfortable to read books with white text on a black background, movies in HDR look amazing. + Diagonal 15 inches is just a buzz. I have long understood that in the case of a screen, size matters, and the larger, the better. + The stylus is chic, unlike the Apple Pencil, the tip is soft and has a grip on the screen. There is no battery in the stylus, instead of it there is an ionistor with a resource of 30 years, and it is used only for the operation of the button. + Spare tips on Ali for five kopecks per bag, and, most importantly, they are universal and completely interchangeable with other styluses from Samsung. + There is a connector for a flash drive - a rarity in our time, allows you to buy a basic version, plug a 512 gig flash drive into it for 3000 and save a lot of money. In fairness, I note that even the best flash drives are ten times slower than the built-in memory, but you don’t need super speed to watch TV shows.
Cons
  • - No charger included. I have no idea why the stylus needed by the units is included in the kit, but the sane charge that everyone needs is missing, despite the fact that they cost the same. - Anodizing leaves much to be desired, over time, the corner that rested against the wall peeled off, and silvery aluminum became visible. Over time, a worn strip remained from the plastic stand. - The contact pad coating is unreliable. I have no idea how, but one of them oxidized in the first six months, most likely simply from contact with sweaty palms. - The speed of data transfer from a computer over a cable is still at the level of USB 2.0 fifteen years ago, it does not accelerate above 20 meters per second. I understand that the emphasis is on the MTP protocol, so maybe it's time for vendors to put pressure on Microsoft to rewrite it? It's easier to download TV shows directly to the tablet, since Android allows it. - PWM. Yes, it exists. Personally, I don’t care about it even after 10 hours of use at minimum brightness, but after 20-30 minutes of use, my friend’s eyes began to watery and dizzy, and the very next day he returned the tablet to the store. In fairness, he has an intolerance to amoledes in principle, and not just this particular model, but keep in mind if you are going to buy - look for a store where, in which case, you can return the goods.

It's more like a laptop in tablet format.
