Review on ๐Ÿ“บ TV Mounting Kit for Steel Studs with Tilt & Low Profile TV Mounts - Includes 4 Snaptoggle Anchors, Steel Drill Bit, and Mounting Hardware by Jose Ortega

Great product but the included drill dulled on first use

Anchors worked great. I particularly liked how the orientation mechanism was designed to allow the switches to be mounted vertically and behind the bolt. They must be vertical to provide full support. The drill dulled on the first hole and almost ruined my drywall around the hole. I had my own drill. The hole in the steel needs to be a clean 1/2 inch so I had to remove the burrs before I could insert the anchor. Drywall is needed to hold the plastic disc that forms when the zip ties are squeezed. Gently push the anchor in so you can maintain the switch orientation, then pull back to ensure it rests on the back of the metal stud. Then you need to grab the plastic end and press the plastic disc against the wall and press firmly. Cut the plastic wires to get a flat surface for the mounting plate. The plastic shrinks as the screw is tightened. You will need to lift the mounting plate and screw a screw into each of the four holes and then tighten as needed. Press the plate against the wall, then rotate 1/2 a turn at a time. If still easy, maybe 1/2 turn more. You will feel the pressure and know that the lever and plate have properly compressed the wall. Also note that after tightening, the screws were loose in the holes in the plate. So make sure you keep an eye on the height of each hole before tightening them all. Sometimes you can drag one a little higher up the plate hole and then the other a little lower, lowering your level.
