The kit contains everything I need to attach my shower drain and bath valves PLUS four extra o-rings. Apparently they are needed for a specific installation, but not for me. I put some silicone grease on the valve seals and on the small o-ring around the valve. It appears to be part of Delta's OEM, so I trust them completely. I see generics that can be bought for a lot less money and I'm sure some of them are good but they seem to last for years so risking your time on an unknown generic quality probably isn't worth it.
