Terrible chemical smell

We will return these rugs promptly. They smell very strongly of oil. It was so strong that we got headaches and my wife got sick. We washed one of them to see if we could get rid of the smell. But now we are having trouble getting the smell out of the washing machine. I think we should have known better. This is the third or fourth time in many years that we have ordered rugs from Revain. Whatever their manufacturers process before shipping to the US should be banned. Revain carpets are no longer ordered.
