It's NOT silver, it's blue and white striped. The blue and white you see in close-ups is what they look like whether you're up close or far away; All you see are stripes. However, if you are looking for a blue and white striped rug, I think this is a really good choice. It was soft, didn't smell, and seemed durable. I wish the color description and photos were more accurate otherwise I would happily keep this rug.

This carpet smells so strongly of chlorine that after 15 minutes in my room I felt like I had swallowed a glass of water from the pool, even though the carpet was taken outside , this feeling lasted for at least an hour. We wanted a large rug for our living room that wouldn't totally break the bank and we went for this one! We love it - the colors are great and I love the tassel at the end. This review is for two rugs. Bought a 2ft 3in x 9in rug. Wash/dry immediately with tumble dryer due to strong odour. New measurements will follow. Width 2 feet 1.25 inches. Tassel length 8'6". I painted my laundry room dark gray and was looking for white, gray, blue and purple rugs. Judging by other reviews, I was able to get three of the four colors.
