Review on ๐Ÿš— Enhance Vehicle Traction with Lakewood 21606 Traction Bar! by Anferny Pineda

Cheaper, but not suitable for listed vehicles without additional parts and/or extensive modifications.

Conclusion: Once installed, these devices virtually eliminate wheel hops. A 1970's car will now behave in the rain like a current year car, reducing exposure to dangerous skids and unintentional wet skids. Installation is not difficult, but it is very troublesome and requires more money and time invested in parts and modifications. In addition, the positive aspects are few. I installed them on a 1975 Nova with a GM 10 bolt and offset shocks. This suspension is the same as any stock 68-74 Nova or 75-79 Firebird/Camaro. The handle hole of the leaf spring center pin is far from the correct position, which means the leaf spring center pin snaps in and is on top of the shock mounting plate. Drilling a larger hole may compromise the integrity of the part. In my case, two washers are required on each side to keep the handlebars parallel to the ground at a neutral angle for safe riding. Not only do they not match the car, but the quality of the paintwork is terrible, you pay about $200 for rust practice. Vehicle axle U-bolts are NOT included. Includes square U-bolt for stem end bracket and rubber bumper. Given the availability of other traction options, I would not recommend this product.

Pros
  • Includes rubber dampers, U-bolts and mounting hardware.
Cons
  • Difficult to say.
