Review on πŸ”΄ Dewhel Billet Anodized Red Aluminum Lift Pads Jack Point Floor Jack Bolt-ons for 6th Gen Camaro 2016-2018 (Except Convertible) by Mark Clark

Easy installation and overall good design for the 2019 ZL1 1LE

I bought them in red so you can see them better when looking under the car. These dewhell lift pads have very good workmanship (fit and finish); However, it would be nice if the seller specified the type of aluminum used. They might seem expensive, but the blocks are sturdy - think the blank AR below - and each weighs a little less. The problem you will face is the installation. Not because they're difficult to install, but because most people don't have a ramp to get their car up first. Assuming you have a ramp (racing ramps, pieces of wood, etc.), the installation consists of placing washers on the holddown welds and tightening two allen screws on each. Some blue Loc-Tite should be considered. For the 6th generation Camaro, they are mounted on lifting platforms. There are three obvious spots (welds) on each side of the car (two front to back and one back). The best place to mount them in the front is on the front bracket while there is only one spot in the back. The downside is that they don't have a flat bottom so you have to be careful when lifting the car. I learned from the Camaro6 forum members and recommended putting 3M tape on the bottom to reduce the risk of slipping. Can you do the same with slotted hockey pucks? Yes. But in my opinion this kit is a much better solution that clearly helps determine the correct lifting points on the car.
