How did I just find this product!?! Much better than any other spike finders I've bought trying to be reliable and accurate. I think I've only written 5 product reviews in my life where something was either really amazing or a scam and this one is amazing! Last year I bought about 5 different viewfinders and some claim to point you to the exact center and show you where the edge starts. Some have a deep scan option that works the same as normal mode. I have to go back and forth a few times on each side because the readings are usually scattered all over the place and I have to give an average best guess as to where to drill. It's so easy to use and extremely reliable, just what I've come to expect from a spike finder. Now I may have exaggerated a bit in the title; Some features like electrical cable detection and metal or wood detection are still useful in others, but this mandrel finder is good for 95% of jobs. I seriously can't understand how simple and reliable this thing is. If I had to criticize this product, I would say that it would be nice if it made a noise when you turn it on, or maybe just left all the lights on for a split second, because sometimes I'm not sure if the batteries are dead Or not until I get through the hairpin.
