I bought an Imarku chef's knife for my wife. She cooks three times a day for a family of seven and often an extra meal or two for friends or our child with special dietary needs. The knife came in a beautiful box that he will never see because it is always available and in use. It is by far the most used tool or utensil in the kitchen. We tried others but they could be kept sharp or the handles would break with prolonged use. We have been using the Imarku knife for over three months now and it looks and works like new. I sharpen it with a sharpener about once a month. It only takes a few passes on each side and he can cut paper again. The knife itself is the perfect weight. It's easy to use and perfectly balanced. The handle has a strong core that is part of the blade and never wears out in appearance. The blade is thick, just over 2mm and hard! I'm impressed with how long it stays sharp considering how long it's been in use and how quickly older knives dull. My wife still loves this knife and I still regularly get a thank you after a big meal. It's a lot cheaper than many others, but should work just as well. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone. even my mother!
