Review on 🍼 Mumeasy Double Wearable Breast Pump, Portable Electric Hands-Free Breast Pump with 2 Modes & 9 Levels, S12, 24mm Flange, Purple by Maribel Gilbe

My pair of Mumeasy S12 portable breast pumps with purple accents came fully assembled in retail packaging. As well as the pumps themselves, it contained a small plastic bag containing two identical charging cables, two beige bra shoulder strap extenders, and a flimsy instruction manual. It didn't come with a charger, but I can't blame Mumeasy for the fact that thousand-dollar smartphones now come without chargers. The charging cables are approximately 1 meter long with USB-A connectors on one end and USB-C connectors on the other end. . The USB-C connector connects to the breast pump's motor assemblies, while the USB-A connector connects to any USB port capable of delivering 5V at 1A. I use a few spare ports on a powered USB hub, which allows me to charge both breast pumps at the same time. Other charging options include phone chargers with USB ports and almost any USB 2.0 or 3.0 port on your computer. When the battery charge indicator stops flashing and turns into three solid bars, the charge cycle is complete. Each breast pump is controlled via four buttons on the motor housing: power, level +, level - and mode. The controls are mostly intuitive, except that the plus and minus buttons are reversed, with the left button increasing the level and the right button decreasing it. There are two modes, suction and massage, each with nine levels. Once you have set your preferred level for each mode, the level will be called when you switch to that mode. This comes in handy if you prefer different levels on each. The displays also have a two-digit minute counter that shows how long each pump has been running during that session. Although it is called "Time Display" in the promotional text, there is no way to adjust the execution time. They run for 30 minutes before shutting down. I'd rather have the minute display count down from 30 minutes instead of counting down from zero minutes so I can look at it and see how much is left in the session. While the noise isn't objectionable, it's certainly not a quiet whisper. The manufacturer's noise level claim of 45dB is meaningless if you don't know how it was measured; A Harley engine produces only 45 dB of noise when measured from a sufficiently far distance. If you thought you could talk to anyone but your significant other or dearest friend while wearing them, think again. The pump motors and click can be heard each time the person switches from suction to deflation. Leave the shoulder strap extenders in the bag they came in and you've got a matching spandex sports bra - one with the extra capacity needed for breast pumps. You can't just slip those big pumps over your chest and expect everything to be acceptable when you stretch your regular bra straps a few inches. I've been wearing them in a sports bra for two 30 minute sessions at suction level 4 even as I write this and two lines were still visible on the batteries. I plan to wear a sports bra when using them. Please note that batteries are not user replaceable and, like all rechargeable batteries, have a finite lifespan. Maybe that's why the date of manufacture is written on the box and says "Shelf life: 3 years". Assuming these pumps don't have internal software to turn them off after three calendar years, you can maximize battery life by keeping the batteries partially charged while not in active use. Without an actual percentage readout, I would aim for two charging bars and then check the pumps every few months to see if they've dropped to one bar and need charging back up to two. The Mumeasy S12 breast pumps appear to be specially designed and built to a high standard using quality materials. I'm deducting a star because the manufacturer doesn't sell aftermarket parts (I checked their website) making it a very expensive throw-away item. If you are purchasing this I recommend you keep a printed or PDF copy of the Revain 1 year warranty webpage as I have not been able to find the terms or the warranty period on the box, inside the box or in the user manual. Depending on your risk tolerance and finances, you should consider which Revain 2 or 3 year protection plan might be a good choice for you.
