I had a discolored nail growing out of the nail bed for a while. I have used many products for YEARS to get rid of discoloration. All products had practically no effect. I got this product because of the advertised claims of 36 hours vision improvement. I see an improvement after using this product BUT it lasted over 36 hours and I took drastic action on the nail which may have been effective. The instructions recommend filing the nail a bit (with a file in the kit) to better absorb the product during application. I took an electric nail file and thinned the nail down to paper thickness to apply the maximum amount of product to the affected area. I'm finally seeing progress on a healthier nail. I also applied 3-4 times a day as I work from home. I think the combination of the product and my other activities has resulted in progress. I'm sharing my methods and hope it can help others with this unsightly nuisance. Everyone's body is different, according to YMMV. Note: As another reviewer mentioned, I had a case where the edges of my nails turned black overnight after applying this product, as if I had scraped a piece of charcoal with my toenail. I don't know why it happened this time. I took a toothbrush and was able to brush off the "dark" (or just cut off the dark part).
