Review on 📈 APERA INSTRUMENTS AI209 Value Series PH20 Waterproof pH Tester Kit - Accurate to ±0.1 pH by Carrie Johnson

A few tips on how to use it correctly! (Great little meter, but pH sensors require some technique)

Application Tips: IMPORTANT: Blow out the bubbles in the sensor! The bubble will mess up your readings and mess up the calibration. Just shake the device like a mercury/alcohol thermometer to remove bubbles. I wonder how many people have blisters messing up their readings. I did and oh my god it made a world of difference! - IMPORTANT: Stir the sensor in the sample to push out any bubbles from the OUTSIDE of the sensor, then leave it for a while to stabilize the temperature reading and compensate for the pH. - DO NOT store it submerged or wet in distilled/distilled water! This will damage the electrode. Either store it in tap water (with minerals and other "normal substances") or in a 3M KCL solution (this is the best choice) - Insert the batteries correctly :-) - FIRST TIME calibration with a 7pH solution , rinse and THEN calibrate with a 4pH solution. (not sure why, but it seems to be the recommendation for pH probes).
