Something new in this style of product still works.
As a regular traveler I've never seen one of these held together with large copper staples but it seems to work better than the previous ones I've had which were just cut straight through into one piece. This has so far withstood the desert weather conditions that otherwise ruin the old style. So far, good idea guys.
