Bought this to complement our small air conditioner during the California summer. I wanted something more than a fan that blows cold air and this one was the right size and price. Based on the product photos I assumed the line on the bottom front was a water drawer and was glad it was big enough for me to put ice packs in the water instead of ice cubes. Unfortunately, the water inlet is on the back of the unit and is SMALL, barely big enough for square ice cubes. It didn't appear in the list. The description also describes the device as having a "quiet" motor, but only in sleep mode; otherwise it's quite noisy, especially if you run out of water. It is impossible for a light sleeper to use it at night. Other than that, it's not too bad - it's a nice device that's easy to move around and the airflow is pretty good. I could sit 4-5 feet away and feel the air at an average level. The water tank is quite large if you don't mind pouring a gallon of water and ice in it! Overall I feel like I could save $50 and buy a regular tower fan with a cool attitude, efficient and a lot less work.
