My first tortilla press. It seems a bit tricky to get a thin cake without flipping the cake a few times. To take the tortilla out easily, I use a zippered slot bag to align it. I can then reposition the cake 1/4 turn and press again. The grip is not perfectly centered on the push bar, but deviates to the side. I don't know if this is normal or a manufacturing defect. Maybe that's why I need to change position and turn around to get an even cake. I keep the press in its original packaging, having removed the handle after each use. The small nut/washer and handle are easy to remove with a small pair of pliers, which I also keep in the box.
