Clear instructions - additional tools required

There was more than enough material to make the necessary repairs. Procedures vary depending on the type of repair (cracks, gouges, or holes) and its size. Additional tools are required for quality work. Use a sharp scraper to chamfer both sides of the crack and, if accessible, the inside of the crack. Before filling potholes or cracks, the plastic surface to be fixed must be heated very briefly with a propane flame. This changes the molecular structure of the material and allows the epoxy to bond to it. Too much heat will melt the plastic, so be careful. Please note that the burner must be used in an upright position. When switched on, the flashlight can be used only a few degrees from the center, otherwise it will go out. In this case, the gas supply must be shut off and the burner disconnected from the gas bottle. The ignition button is then pressed to release the remaining gas. Then the parts need to be reconnected, turn on the gas and light the flame. Small "beginner" flashlights available in large stores do not contain information on how to relight a flashlight when it has gone out due to skewed use. I had to figure it out myself, through trial and error. As no one has used the boat yet I can't comment on the strength of the repair or how long it will last.

Pros

Cons
  • Upgradeable
