The threaded rod and the trunnion were made with different threads.
The trunnion had different threads than the shank threads and couldn't screw in more than 1/2 inch. Assemble and cook everything as per the manual.. The trunnion started out on a threaded rod turn and it stopped less than 1/2" down on the rod because the threading was different. Lost a whole bunch of apples due to a defective part. VERY DISTANT FROM THIS PRODUCT Would agree on parts but nowhere in the instructions are there a number to call for help send that shit back to china!
