I bought this cooler because it's square and white to suit my build. In general, I don't know much about EnerMax brand coolers, but the reviews I've read show that the cooling performance is lower than brands like Corsair. Seems like Enermax puts a lot of emphasis on style and that's fine. My device was purchased from Lepatek Corporation. It came in retail packaging which clearly showed what was inside. The box arrived in what appeared to be an open condition, although this may simply be a sign that the retail packaging should not be used as a mailer box. Luckily everything inside was new and in good condition. Installation was super easy, and thanks to the NZXT mid-tower case I used, I was able to install the cooler without removing anything from my build (other than the stock cooler, of course). I use this with a Ryzen 3600. Visually, this cooler is second to none. The RGB effects are great and work flawlessly with my mobo's RGB titles. In terms of performance, the experience is rather mediocre. I may have applied thermal paste incorrectly, but I get 37C idle, 45C under light to medium load, and (fortunately) a max CPU temp of 70C when gaming (Hitman 2, ultra, 1440p, around 150C C). C).C). However, for some reason I feel like I saw better temperatures with the old Corsair closed circuit cooler I had on my old i7-4790k. With this configuration I was 33C when idling, 42C under light to moderate load and never seemed to go above 55C during gaming/moderate work sessions. Anyway, only time will tell if this device will hold up. That's the only thing that worries me at the moment.
