This set of 2 was purchased to replace an old speaker mic which had the rubber torn where the connector connects to the cable. So I tuned in a NOAA transmitter and hooked up the first one. no sound hmm On closer inspection: the TX LED mysteriously flickers in time with the reception. Yes. And so it happened. Basically, they have no quality control. The reason they sell them in packs of two is probably so you have a chance of getting one that works. Two stars instead of one because one of them actually works. They're not very good even when they work, but when they work, they do it pretty well. Note that the quality of your audio output will sound like you're speaking through a tin can, but that's acceptable given the price. A slightly less acceptable bet is whether the hardware will work at all.
