📻 Enhanced BAOFENG BF-S112 Two Way Radio Speaker - 2 Pack Review

I tested this over the weekend using a Baofeng BF-F9 V2+ (HT), HT handheld radio connected to a Tram 1185 magnetic antenna and an adapter cable between the HT and the antenna. I ran into a 2M repeater about 30 miles away and the guy on the other end gave it a 5x8 rating. Didn't think I could communicate so clearly as these mics feel cheap/fragile. For that price, holy cow. MARVELOUS. I've been looking for a shoulder microphone for our Blackbox by Bantam radios for a few days. They have Kenwood plugs and I really didn't want to pay $60 each for a pair of shoulder mics. They fit perfectly in the socket. They're definitely not as loud as a real radio, which is quite common with these types of mics, so I wasn't surprised. The sound quality from the microphone is excellent, but the sound quality when speaking into the microphone is very dull.

Three stars just to keep things "neutral”. I cannot rate this product because another model was sent to me even though I bought this product. This set of 2 was purchased to replace an old speaker mic which had the rubber torn where the connector connects to the cable. So I tuned in a NOAA transmitter and hooked up the first one. no sound hmm On closer inspection: the TX LED mysteriously flickers in time with the reception. Yes. And so it happened. Excellent value for money. Both devices came via airmail from China. They arrived earlier than expected, nicely wrapped in padding! I immediately tested both units with my Baofeng radios and both worked fine and didn't sound much different when I wasn't using those mics. They seem a bit light but for the price I have no problem with them. One of the plugs was the wrong shape and didn't 100% match the mic and speaker ports on the walkie-talkie.
