These are standard PTC heating elements 220-230°C, 110-125VAC. They are affordable and delivered very quickly at the time of writing this review. The heating elements are enclosed in a plastic cage. The heatsink grids on the sides are powered. The real ceramic elements are the central brown ceramic elements. The connecting wires use silicone insulation, which tolerates the temperature of the element well. I ordered a few of these to complete a project where zeolite sorbent and activated alumina from a gas flow filter are periodically calcined to restore their sorption capacity. I needed something that would reach the correct regeneration temperature quickly enough without needing any sort of feedback control system. 220C-230C is ideal for this use case. One problem: the smoke point of the black plastic cage is well below 230°C. But there is a simple solution: break off the plastic. Since I'm using them in a sealed sorption tank with electrically insulated interior walls and non-conductive contents (zeolites and alumina are essentially ceramic materials and insulators), I don't care if the elements are insulated. did. Very satisfied with the performance achieved.
