At first I was disappointed with the results. It doesn't get in there and wipes off as best as I can if I'm a real person with a full bucket of water or more if I want to and be able to see places that need more attention. I almost got it back. I had to change my attitude towards cleaning. I washed at the weekend and hated it. Then I realized that using Braava every night or every day is best. He can't clean as well once a week as I can, but he can clean every night while I sleep. This approach has helped me appreciate Braava a lot more. I have some dog habits and my weekly cleaning didn't stay clean all week. Now it's always clean. I still have a few things to clean up, but my weekend of tearing down the house, sweeping and mopping the floors is over. It's like having a reset button for my home that I can just push every night. Either way, this is how you should look at this device to get the most out of it. It even changes the way I think about cleaning other things. Now I can just dust whenever I want because I don't care if I get dust on the floor because the robot will pick it up later. I no longer have to procedurally clean my home in a top-down marathon in optimal order. My allergies have improved a lot because my house is always clean and not clean for days. It also helped my attitude a bit. I don't have to work on it and my house is always clean so I don't mind dogs or people soiling my floors anymore. It's just worth every penny. The device itself is very quiet. Sometimes he bumps into a door or something that makes a little noise, but that's about it. Almost everything goes down. To be honest he fits more stuff than I ever do. It charges quickly. After approx. 2 hours it is ready for use again. You need more than just the one pillow that comes with the kit. I would recommend at least one rug for each room and each day of the week. A fresh pillow is like a new mop. If you only have one pad, you'll have to hand wash it or wait in the washing machine between uses, and it's just more work than just drying things yourself. You can't use it the way you want, just with the one pad it comes with. Also buy dry and wet wipes. Dry pads are quilted and appear to be more effective than cloth pads. Wet pads come in handy for very quick cleaning or things you really, really don't want to touch. My one of my rooms is a bit larger than advertised, the maximum mopping range is furniture (that won't fit under it), closets and the like reducing floor space. I can actually run it twice in this room on a single charge (although it will run out of water). Every now and then it gets stuck. it has a small wedge shape. However, getting him to avoid problem areas is not difficult. Put an obstacle in his way or hold down the swipe or sweep button to put him in fast mode where he avoids obstacles. I think if it weren't wedge shaped at all it wouldn't get stuck in a lot of places. My dogs don't care. It's quiet here and they're used to it. Sometimes he even sneaks up on them and bumps into them with humorous results. Anyway, I like it very much. This is probably my favorite thing. It gives me a clean floor every night and gives me back most of my weekends. I waited a long time for more opportunities and finally decided to do it. I did not have to. When I think back to all the blues I made myself and all the dirt I faced while waiting for the weekend to be wiped up, I feel like I wasted a lot of time. I would like an improved model, but I am very happy with this one. Update: I had to replace the battery a few months ago because mine wasn't charging. I chose Powerextra High Capacity. It was pretty cheap and really increased the range. I'm actually glad it's gone because the extra range really speeds things up. Also, I tried adding Nature's Miracle dog stain and odor remover to the mop tank because, like the iRobot Scuba Diving Solution, it's enzymatic. So far this works quite well. I've been doing this for a few months now and haven't noticed any punctures like people have mentioned at Lysol or other products.
