Two things that make the picture misleading
Firstly the bed does not sink into the bracket as shown in the picture. Second, the metal circle hanging over the pillow doesn't hang low as shown in the photo. I also didn't have a choice of pillow color and was given two different colors. My cats love it too and it looks great in the living room.
