The readings are pretty accurate.

I purchased these to determine the humidity level in my home before I commission a basement waterproofing job. After sealing, the contractor supplied an electric hygrometer that takes readings inside and below the house. The readings of the Vivosun hygrometer differ slightly from the readings of the electric hygrometer. I would say Vivosun hygrometers are pretty accurate.
