Review on 🟡 Aprilaire 4231 Humidifier Yellow Orifice Replacement by Anthony Mcgarry

Replace the red hole (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002UR6MOY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) with this one like it is a smaller hole. Flow into and out of the humidifier was measured at each orifice and the results are as follows: Note: Each test was run for approximately a week and may have varied water temperatures and pressures. Note 2: Each individual number was the average of 3 tests. Test 1:834 mL/min no hole 358 mL/min inlet red hole hot water 300 mL/min outlet red hole hot water Test 2:323 mL/min outlet red hole cold water (tested days later with eventual other inlet pressure, just for reference) 195ml/min inlet yellow hole cold water 153ml/min outlet yellow hole cold water 145ml/min outlet yellow hole hot water Evaporation of only 1/4 water I found It is acceptable to continuously flush what is needed. I also thought the expense of hot water wasn't necessary, although it seemed to evaporate more.
