So far so good! I've used a copper headed Snow Peak Peg Hammer to pound tent pegs on 3 hikes and hammer nails to power my house. The copper head definitely makes a difference when it comes to directional power, and its lightness and efficiency has enabled a whole new level of bearing setup helpers, eliminating the need for a heavy sled even in difficult and rocky terrain. It's not as loud as the rattling of two metal pipes, and the shape is unique. The brass head WILL be affected by any impact so it will warp a little (due to the design) but I think that just makes this tool that much more fun and interesting. The length of the handle might seem a little short for a taller person, but remember that it doesn't require that much strength to move the intended objects. The shorter handle is also extremely useful when packing gear for long hikes. The hook on the back is literally PERFECT for pulling those tough Snow Peak stakes (an item I highly recommend and the reason I bought this hammer from the start) and for leverage along the way if needed. All in all a solid unique hammer and probably one of the best stakes I've come across. Happy Hammer!
