Update 4/22/2021 - battery removed to try to find a replacement. So far, there is no answer from either the manufacturer or the US supplier as to where and how to get this unique replacement battery. Good news, I reconnected and reinstalled the existing battery and it works like new. As already mentioned, the manufacturer has written to me that the US supplier will get back to me, but nothing so far. What happens when a battery becomes inoperable? I really like the camera when it works. So if you have problems like below, try unplugging, waiting for a while and plugging the battery back in. Apparently, like computers and mobile phones, restarting can solve some problems. Update 01/16/2021 The battery no longer charges at all. This device only lasted 6 or 8 uses before the battery stopped charging and died almost immediately after turning it on. Of course you can't replace the battery I see. I tried contacting support and no response. $500 is a great price for this device but my goodness they spent 50 cents on a battery. DO NOT BUY. Update: 10/14/2020 - Not very satisfied. It lasted just over 1 year with very little use; maybe 6-8 times. It shows the battery is half full but switches to battery mode and turns off when I try to turn it on. I can use it for about 20 minutes before it starts. Just turned it back on and now it stays on. Unimportant. It only stayed on for about 45 seconds before turning off again. I like it a lot for home exams, but it can be used in this state. Help? Original comment mid 2019. I'm very happy with it, especially for the price. I've only been playing around with it around my house, but it's come in handy to check for water leaks, my electrical panel and the air conditioning duct where I've found some problems.
