Easy to use, easy to clean and gets the job done

June 2019: For straining homemade ricotta cheese. Absolutely done buying this filter is worth the price. I'm lactose intolerant, so I used whole milk with Lactaid and followed the instructions for making homemade ricotta in the microwave (available at circle-b-kitchen.com). I needed ricotta cheese for the lasagna so I made 2 servings with 4 cups of milk to get 2 cups of ricotta. I used my microwave probe to heat the mixture to 190 degrees. PERFECT! Received it today and used it straight away to sift almond and cashew pulp from my home coffee maker. I used it to first strain out whole soaked nuts and then puree them in a blender with plenty of water. Pour the mixture back into the top strainer and let it drain for a while (this will get rid of most of the pressing). leaks as much liquid as a pack of nut milk? I doubt it a bit but it's ok because it doesn't get dirty and it's easy to clean. I will use the leftover pulp for other recipes. This whole setup could be greatly improved if there were a top cover for the strainer basket. Until they make this modification, I'll use a piece of plastic sheeting secured with a large rubber band. UPDATE: There were no instructions in the packaging and I missed the information on the list not to put the strainer in the dishwasher. . I put the whole set in the top rack of the dishwasher with no problems, but now I can hand wash the strainer.
