Review on Corsair Void RGB Elite USB Gaming Headset - Premium Quality with 7.1 Surround Sound (Carbon) by Jim Reinhardt

The best headset you've never built with ModMic

This is the most comfortable and efficient PC headset I've ever owned and the new version is even better than the early 2017 version. I like the fit better than the Hyper-X Cloud II or any of the current models by Logitech, though lacking leather and hand stitching, exposed aluminum accents, and other flair. Is it the prettiest? no Does it outperform the new Razer Tiamat in terms of deep bass? nope It's a very neutral headset with a microphone that doesn't suck and an included Dolby license that will set you back $15 alone. Now I have three in my family including a wireless one and I've never been a happier gamer. It's perfect? no I'd love to see a leather headband and big, comfortable leather ear cups as an option, and honestly I'm surprised Corsair has let them on the market for so long without offering these premium accessories. RGB really isn't as bright, bold or versatile as we'd like, and especially in retail I'd like to see some addressable RGB detail in single-driver 50mm headphones. Give us more options. We will pay for it. Corsair clearly knows this from selling keyboards and cases, we crave customization. At this sale price: don't pay. They're constantly being offered, even at the time of this review, for $60, which is very fair for the wired USB model. You are using an unsupported operating system. I connected it to my Pixel 2 with a USB-C adapter to make calls and it was really crisp and clear as always, but the beeping was very annoying. I would recommend only using this headset with a supported operating system. i'm weird i know
