Update #2: Five (5) months later there are only three cups left. Update: downgraded to one star. In less than a month we have five (5) hacks. They were causing the cups to leak so we had to get rid of them. They don't wear out in an unusual way - after use they are placed in the kitchen sink until the dishwasher is loaded. We have $0.99 character glasses from major department stores (often sold with party supplies) that will last for years. This is a complete disappointment. When the first one broke we got rid of it - I decided it was an accident. Now I wish I had kept it because I would have returned the whole batch if I had known they are so prone to breakage. Conclusion: This is the fair value of the drinkware. BUT, if you're looking for the kind of plastic glasses you find in restaurants, these are *not* the glasses. They are thinner and break more easily. The first of ours broke just a week after receiving it. They also have rough edges along the rim - I had to deburr them all to avoid cutting my lips.
