Exactly as described and everything is fine in that regard. It's cheap and does the main job well. 4K@30Hz works without problems. However, most KVMs have at least one key/key combination for input selection. Not this one. You must use the top panel or the wired remote control. No ads, but it's kind of a standard thing, so I was hoping for that. no Also, good KVMs have EDID and keyboard/mouse emulation to prevent the computer from readjusting screen resolution etc. This essentially unplugs all peripherals from the PC for the unselected channel, resulting in a hot-plug/unplug. Do not attempt to use storage devices over this KVM, damage is almost guaranteed. Strictly speaking, it's not a KVM like most, just a regular USB + HDMI selector. Knowing your limits is normal. I actually use it on a lot of dash cams and have no problem with it, although a keyboard shortcut would be nice.
