Cricket will not activate the North American or International version of this device on its network after 01/01/2021. By activation I mean re-activation or simply replacing an existing SIM card from an old phone with a CAT phone. I have contacted CAT support and they have told me that these phones cannot currently be activated in Cricket because they do not have VoLTE certified. So if you're looking for a rugged Cricket phone and I suspect it's on the AT&T network right now, you're out of luck. I can't rate a phone if I can't get it through the carrier's network. I don't understand how CAT thinks they will sell so many of these in North America if the largest GSM operator doesn't activate their devices. Well done Kat!
