We have had many bidets over the years having traveled to Japan many years ago and discovered these toilet mounted wonders. From our first $1,000 "loading" model over 10 years ago that had heated seats, convection dryer, charcoal filter, hot water, remote control, etc., which was fine, but who needs all of that? Then he died 7 years later. Didn't want to buy another block at an inflated price. To be honest we didn't use all of these features and it was a waste of money. We used it to clean and that was about it. Who needs to sit on the toilet for a minute or two after doing your chores to blow dry your mouth when a little toilet paper dries instantly? Also, the charcoal filter is an extra expense and doesn't really add anything. The seat and water heater ran all the time, so power consumption was always an issue. So we started looking for a replacement for this original unit and GenieBidet had a product that filled the need for a simple non-electric heater. unit revolution. (i.e. there is no need to install a socket in the toilet). Finally, existing homes typically do not have outlets in or near toilets. Considering our new house has multiple bathrooms (6 toilets to be exact), these bidets are perfect. We've had a pair of Genie bidets for a while, so the new model has sparked interest. This device was amazingly easy to install and use. Installation took 10 minutes with one key. The kit includes a stainless steel hose for the existing supply valve to a chrome tee that you install at the bottom of the toilet tank, and then a plain white tube that you can cut to the length you want to go from the tee to the bidet. Put the toilet seat on and you're done. The seals look high quality and have no leaks. For use you have a simple handle with attractive markings that rotates one way for the back or the other way and has a separate nozzle for women's fronts. It rotates smoothly and is easy to use. At the end of the work, the nozzles return to the hidden position. Unit works quite well, copes with cleaning without fuss. Brilliantly simple. Our guests love having them in their bathrooms and once they've tried one, they'll be heading to Revain to find one for their home. I had a small discount to buy this new model like a previous GenieBidet customer. However, this has not affected this review in any way. We currently have 3 GenieBidet units and they have impressed us.
