I bought this to replace a crappy Perko perimeter light that came on my pontoon boat. A Perko lens cracks or breaks every year or two. I replaced the Perko head with a head from this flashlight and the problem is solved! I just drilled rivets where the heads attach to the bars and removed the heads, cut the wires and reattached the new head to the old post, connected the wires and riveted the head back in place. It took all of 15 minutes and the result is almost perfect. That way I didn't have to fiddle with the bar mount. The quality seems good and the light is very bright. The lens looks sturdy and should last as long as the light. Being an LED, it should last for many, many years.
