Review on πŸ”‹ Power Up Your Gaming Rig with AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Processor with Wraith Stealth Cooler - YD2600BBAFBOX by Yoonki Baek ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I am satisfied with the product, I recommend it to everyone.

Do not go into this purchase with the expectation that you will be able to overclock this processor to 4.2GHz; from what I can see, only around 10% of stones are capable of doing so. When the voltage is sufficiently high, the majority of specimens can barely handle 4.1 GHz. For instance, the maximum voltage at which my stone can operate reliably is 4.05 volts at 1.35 volts, and above that, it does not chase at any voltage. Stability checks were performed on prime95 tiny fft; however, games appear to function properly on 42022). You will only have memory as an overclock if you do this, so take the boxed version if it is affordable enough to do so (although I do not advocate the boxed version for calculations that are really complex). My memory, which is Corsair 3466 LPX on b-die, operates at 14-14-14-24-38 3266@1.36V and fairly low secondary timings. Also, after playing a few games, I noticed that, for instance, AC: Origins uses up to 95% of the CPU in some places (no background tasks, maximum graphics settings), which most likely also makes a choice in favor of 2600x rather than 8600k. This is something that I noticed after playing some games.

Pros
  • Price\sPerformance
Cons
  • PBO will require too high of voltages (for x10 cores, I get up to 1.55V, 1.5 Vcore), which will result in more heating and a lower frequency if your motherboard does not have the capability of setting offset'a vCore. (For instance, MSI controllers on x470 are capable of supporting offset voltage, but the BIOS does not include support for this feature. Although though MSI included quality MOSFETs on their most affordable X470 boards, it has been determined that their products are only useful for 2600 and 2700 platforms that do not include X). There is the potential for overclocking, but is this a good thing? PBO x10 in my setup only produces 3.9 GHz in Cinebench (around 1340), despite having fairly good cooling. This is across all cores (in the reviews, apparently, they also set the process in real time) Getting rid of excess heat (sudden temperature fluctuations, looks worse than thermal gum)
