As a loving mother of two dogs, I take my dogs with me almost everywhere. I first bought Outward Hound Dog car seats for my Jeep Commander four years ago and they have worked great from day one! I used to use a leash attached to the harness but my dogs didn't like not being able to see out the window (they are small dogs) which resulted in an incessant barking that drove my husband crazy! They also sometimes got their hind legs tangled in a belt. On one of my many Amazon pet product searches, I came across the Outward Hound Pup Boost Safety Dog Car Seat and they worked great for me, with one exception: one of my little guys has a bad habit of figuring out how to slip out of his seat belt while on the dog car seat is fixed! but it has nothing to do with design or construction, i just have a little houdini in my hands! Dog car seats have stood the test of day-to-day use very well over the past four years and show very little signs of wear! I bought two more for my husband's car as we use his car when we travel with our dogs and after installing new seats in his car we put an end to the barking problem. I highly recommend this dog car seat, my small dogs love it, they can get in and out with ease, and since the sides are mesh, it doesn't restrict the floor too much, it's stable and doesn't sag under the My dog's weight (one is 7 pounds and the other is 8 pounds). Overall I am very happy with my purchase and will buy from this seller again in the future.
