Maxwell loves his place he is a 7lb chihuahua/shihtzu mix . I had it in the back of my subpilot, but on this trip I put it in the passenger seat as copilot. I had to put a bed in it because the floor is hard and I wanted it to be comfortable. It fits perfectly. Make sure you have a harness to attach it to, you can't use a collar because god forbid you get into an accident the poor pup will choke. But I've checked a lot of seats and this is the best.

If you have a big dog, you need them both!

Order it before you think you need it. I have made. I had this on hand for about a year before I thought I might need something like this and I'm glad I have it. 65 pounds and worked as you can imagine, up/down stairs and over icy surfaces. Velcro can be left in the car for travel. Asked about the stretch in the star rating. and I don't know what to answer. I would give this review one star because you don't want it stretching, but in my opinion one star would be better than five. Also comfort.

It helped when he was still with us.

I forgot to order this item here. When I received this my dog was in bad shape. It was a Tibetan mastiff that had developed a spinal disease. The disease gradually led to the paralysis of my furry child. And at the same time I was operated on my wrist. So this item came in handy to help him maneuver. But even with this help, he could only help for a short time. The disease progressed at the front end. Unfortunately my boy had to be put down in July. So this item really helped while it was here…

Very versatile for medium to very large dogs!

Bought for the older father 100lb. A Shepard/Husky mix a few years ago who had very bad hips and had trouble getting up. It is very well made and supports a dog of this size perfectly. My father was able to help his old man up, so he didn't resist. Now it's gone and now I have it and I use it for my 50 pounds. older girl, border collie mix. She can no longer climb stairs when we visit friends, which is perfect for her even though she's half the weight of my dad's dog. It has enough velcro, long

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • It was possible to choose a newer model

I had a previous model of this model which I used on my first dog from 2007-2014 and a second dog 2017 to present. It stood up well and I've never had any problems with it. But it was starting to wear out, so I decided to order a new one. Compared to my previous one, this one is just normal. The front and sides are much shorter than my previous version and even though I have a dog of the same breed/size it just doesn't offer that kind of protection. The front/sides keep collapsing when she puts

Works as intended but a bit small for large dogs.

We are using this to help Lobo, our elderly German Shepherd, stand up. It is well made, lined with foam on the inside and has velcro straps at the top of the instep area and to hold the handles together. It really helped take the strain off his hips when he was even trying to get up, and almost necessary when trying to get up on a tiled floor. small small. After reading other reviews I thought it was more than big enough for a German Shepherd. He's not one of the giant shepherds either, I would

Worked so well I bought it twice!

As a loving mother of two dogs, I take my dogs with me almost everywhere. I first bought Outward Hound Dog car seats for my Jeep Commander four years ago and they have worked great from day one! I used to use a leash attached to the harness but my dogs didn't like not being able to see out the window (they are small dogs) which resulted in an incessant barking that drove my husband crazy! They also sometimes got their hind legs tangled in a belt. On one of my many Amazon pet product searches, I
