Order it before you think you need it. I have made. I had this on hand for about a year before I thought I might need something like this and I'm glad I have it. 65 pounds and worked as you can imagine, up/down stairs and over icy surfaces. Velcro can be left in the car for travel. Asked about the stretch in the star rating. and I don't know what to answer. I would give this review one star because you don't want it stretching, but in my opinion one star would be better than five. Also comfort. I don't think dogs would like to wear it as a fashion accessory. As for my comfort, given its size, five stars means I can't bend over
