Review on πŸ–ŠοΈ CNASA Electric Pencil Sharpener: Rechargeable, Fast Sharpening, Auto Stop - Ideal for School, Office, Home by Jennifer Roberts

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Poor quality, very rough sharpening

As I enjoy drawing in my free time I have always rated pencil sharpeners on how well they do their job compared to me and an I-knife trade. I can sharpen a pencil to surgical sharpness in seconds. A good sharpener (like the 1980's Panasonic battery powered one I'll look for on e-bay now) should work better than me. Unfortunately, most cannot. Worst quality sharpener I've ever used in my life (and I draw a lot): it produces a very short, blunt point, breaks the pencil's shank, and holds the pencil in his hands very roughly - you can even use a pencil hear a crack as the sharpener works on it. It's scary to imagine what this can do to more fragile crayons. One final note: the sharpener has no way of grabbing the pencil, so fight the sharpener's torque by trying to hold the pencil steady as it breaks. Oh, and the sharpener inside isn't very sharp, so you can feel her struggling to sharpen her pencil. In general, it costs nothing.

Pros
  • Consistent results on test
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
