You can bend the pins to fit if they don't fit perfectly. I ordered the size indicated on the lamp, but the pins were positioned differently than the original lamp. I bent them and they worked in the lamp. Remember not to touch the bulb with bare fingers (I used a tissue to stick it inside the bulb), or if you do touch it, wipe it thoroughly with alcohol and dry before putting it in insert the lightbulb. Otherwise, oil on your fingers will create a "hot spot" and the bulb will overheat in the area you touched and burn out quickly. These bulbs get VERY hot!
