Probably every avid seamstress dreams of having those perfect scissors and for the last 20 years these have been my Premax embroidery scissors. (By the way, if they're much less than $70 or don't cut well, they're cheap Asian fakes.) My only complaint is that their small size can make them uncomfortable. But I also crochet a lot, and that brings with it two problems. . First, the Premax are so sharp that they cut whatever yarn they're touching while you simply position them before cutting, leading to a struggle to repair damage without realizing it. Most scissors just chew the yarn but one can hope for something in between. These scissors work great in that regard and the finger holes are larger and more comfortable. And if you wear the Nouveau Lily design, you'll bring a large dose of "oooh". This one comes in at least four finishes on its own if you prefer it on its own. I haven't pulled my strings to try it, but I suspect it will work for her as well.
