They are very tight.

My lawnmower was leaking oil right at the exhaust. The mower caught fire, but the extinguisher was nearby! The mower was saved, the repair is done, the leaks are gone. Now the lawn mower works great again! We got it in 2013 and I think I can work another 7 years and if the seal leaks again I'll have a spare!
