Finally returned; It is NOT required for a 1996 Toyota T-100 pickup if the vehicle was originally equipped with an ADD (Automatically Disabled Differential) which has a vacuum actuated diaphragm in the center of the front axle. If you are doing a manual hub rebuild on an ADD T-100 you will also need to remove the vacuum diaphragm in the center of the front axle and use a large radiator hose clamp to clamp it around the axle to secure the metal sleeve the diaphragm slides towards the passenger side and Make sure it stays locked and the center of the axle will lock and work properly when you lock the manual hubs you have installed.
