These LED spheres are tiny and fit into small holes. They are good for illuminating objects from the inside (e.g. glowing objects, balloons, etc.). The lights quickly/slowly alternate between R(ed)/G(green)/B(cyan) creating a flashing rainbow of colors. On the other hand, if you're looking for a constant light or a specific color, they're not for you. These are disposable as you don't want to deal with changing tiny LR41 batteries or fiddling around. the interior (ie LED bulbs/wires, plastic spheres, batteries, contact springs) of these spheres. In addition, one of the LR41 batteries is encased in plastic around the edge to prevent short circuits on the LED cable. Some questions and reviews mention putting them in water (like pools) or drinks. Do not pour this into beverages or any body of water you do not wish to pollute with small batteries, springs and plastic. These light spheres are not sealed - your drink will wet the interior of these spheres, including the LED bulb, wires, LR41 batteries and contact spring. These components may have manufacturing residues that may or may not be safe for consumption. These spheres are also VERY easy to open by impact (about 10% have already opened just from transport/handling). The tiny LR41 batteries and contact spring slide out EASILY and are EASY to swallow. Swallowing a battery or a feather would quickly end a very festive night and perhaps make it easier to get to the ER. In the pool, they remain on the pool floor or get into the pipes/filters. DO NOT LET IN DRINKS and DO NOT empty into pools/rivers/lakes! They are intended to be used for handicrafts/balloons and should be disposed of properly after a single use. DO NOT TURN IT INTO BEVERAGES OR DISCOSE IN POOLS/RIVERS/LAKES.
